Announcements for Upcoming Events & Projects

 

Saturday, April 27, 2024 – 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.  Garden of Health Volunteer Day.  Looking for volunteers to assist in preparing the garden for planting during Earth Day Week. If you can help, meet us at the Garden of Health, 500 Fairgrounds Avenue, Hatfield, PA.  Our work helps provide organic, gluten free produce for food banks in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. There will be a sign up sheet in the elevator lobby. Please see Don Atkiss for any questions.

Wednesday Night Live

 

It is time to start planning for our annual Basket Raffle.  If you plan to create a basket, you may sign up in the Narthex or Elevator Lobby.  We do not need the theme or actual basket yet, but please start planning now!  Raffle held June 9th!  Details on our Basket Raffle webpage.

 

The Good Samaritan Emergency Fund, from which we make a quarterly grant to our local mission partner, St. Vincent de Paul, is getting low.  If you would like to donate to the Emergency Fund, please note that on an offering envelope or the memo section of your check.  From this fund, St. John’s has helped countless neighbors, and members of St. John’s, who have found themselves in financial hardship.

 

All children are invited to join our weekly in-house Sunday School program for Children up to grade 6 in an hour named Connect³ from 9 am to 10 am. Our St. John’s Praying Hands Stitchers meet the first Sunday of each month.  Next gathering in the library at 9:00 am on May 5.  The Stitchers will celebrate 20 years of the group at St. John’s on May 5th during woeship and Fellowship Time.  New members are always welcome!

Helping Hands Ministry needs drivers to take members to medical appointments.  To volunteer, please call the office, 215-855-5489.
 
Effective May 1st, the cost to sponsor a chancel flower bouquet is $40.  Our florist will continue providing St. John’s with the flower designs and dependable delivery we’ve come to expect.
The Hospitality Teams, who act as greeters & ushers each week, are looking for new members.  Each team serves once every four weeks.  Call the church office if you are interested.
