Sunday, September 26 – Two worship services in St. John’s sanctuary today at 8:00 & 10:15 am.  Theme: “Courage for Community”  Sermon:    “Prayer that Changes Things”
Scripture:  Mark 9:38-50, James 5:13-20  Music: Ihna Cho, Guest Organist.  The 10:15 am service audio will be recorded and available to listen to later in the day Sunday on our website, Facebook & YouTube for those unable to attend in person.  We encourage all attending to wear a mask following current CDC and Montgomery County guidelines – thank you.  The adult Sunday School classes meet at 9 AM.  The annual “Blessing of the Animals” at 12:15 pm in the Meditation Garden by the Labyrinth – everyone is welcome, members and community!

Important Information for Attending Worship:
The recent surge in COVID cases in Montgomery County has prompted the CDC to recommend that masks be worn indoors, even by persons who are fully vaccinated. Although we will not be requiring worshippers to wear masks on Sunday mornings, we are encouraging you to do so as we seek to get beyond
this surge.  May we each continue to make decisions that take into consideration the well being of the most vulnerable among us and the community of which we have chosen to be a part.  If there is a need to make further changes, you will be notified in the Herald, during worship announcements, and on our social media.

Adult Sunday School Returns:  The United Adult Class has resumed weekly Bible study in the Library, and the Adult Mainstream Class in the Activity Room. Please join us!

Prayer Walking at Whites Road Park continues all year round on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of each month (weather permitting). We meet near the concession stand at 8:00 am. Ask Pastor Sue if you would like to learn more about this spiritual practice.

 

Helping Hands Ministry is seeking drivers to take members to medical appointments.  If you are interested in volunteering, please call Lisa in the Church Office, 215-855-5489. Thanks!.

A reminder: your financial support is still needed whether you worship at church or at home with our audio services.  You may  bring your offering to Sunday worship, or you may leave your regular church offerings in the locked box outside the ramp door or mail them to the church – thank you!
 
The St. John’s Women’s Retreat will meet in October.  Please watch for further information.
