UCC & PSEC Youth Events

Following the pandemic and changes in youth programs, the United Church of Christ is rethinking how youth programs may be presented in the future. We will let you know when decisions and plans are made.

For many years, the United Church of Christ has held NYE national youth events every 4 years and regional youth events (we are part of the Eastern group) every 4 years. These events brought UCC youth together for 4 days of praise music, worship, challenging speakers, fun and much fellowship!  A number of our St. John’s youth participated.  The scheduling of these events was disrupted starting in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The future of such events is being discussed and we are reimagining how our youth can best be served in the future.  Please watch this page for updated information when available.

The most recent United Church Of Christ National Youth Event (NYE) 2016 was held at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida from July 26 through July 29, 2016.  St. John’s sent 16 of our youth & chaperones.  It was a fast, intense week of high energy praise music, powerful speakers, purposeful workshops & above all fun & fellowship meeting new friends from around the country & catching up with friends from past UCC gatherings.  The previous event was in 2012 at Perdue University, and St. John’s sent 21 of our youth & chaperones.

Our PSEC (Pennsylvania Southeast) conference also holds weekend youth events in the Spring and Fall for UCC youth from the Montgomery, Bucks & Berks counties region. These have also been temporarily discontinued since 2020 due to the pandemic.
