St. John’s Artist Series- 2018-2019 31st Season:  

Our first concert of the season was held on Sunday, October 7th – David Furniss, Organist, presented a concert of varied Mexican Organ Music to benefit the Oaxaca Learning Center in Mexico.  Photos from the concert:


Sunday, October 28, 4:00 pm – Joshua Stafford, Organist – Winner of the 2016 Longwood Organ Competition.

Joshua Stafford is the Director of Music at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Morristown, New Jersey, where he conducts multiple choirs. He received a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Curtis Institute of Music in 2010 as a student of Alan Morrison and a Master of Music Degree from the Yale School of Music in 2012 as a student of Thomas Murray and Jeffrey Brillhart. In demand as a recitalist and improviser, Joshua has performed at many notable venues on the east coast and has been featured on NPR’s Pipedreams and WRTI’s Wanamaker Organ Hour

About The Schultz Memorial Organ:  Our dedication concert featuring the exciting new sounds of St. John’s pipe organ was held Nov. 5, 2017.  Nathan Laube, Assistant Professor of Organ at the Eastman School of Music, was the concert organist for the dedication of the Schultz Memorial Organ.  We welcomed guests from the Reuter Organ Company and Philadelphia Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.  Click to go to Nathan Laube’s website    Also, Click to read article about the concert in The Reporter newspaper 10-27-2017  Photos from the concert are below:
