The Good Samaritan Emergency Fund, from which we make a quarterly grant to our local mission partner, St. Vincent de Paul, is getting low. If you would like to donate to the Emergency Fund, please note that on an offering envelope or the memo section of your check. From this fund, St. John’s has helped countless neighbors, and members of St. John’s, who have found themselves in financial hardship.
Connect3, our children’s Sunday School program, has ended for the summer. See you in September!
Our St. John’s Praying Hands Stitchers meet the first Sunday of each month. Our next gathering is at 8:30 am on September 1. New members are always welcome!
St. John’s supports humanitarian work being done in Ukraine & neighboring countries as refugees seek safety. For information, click this link: https://st-johns-ucc.org/mission/ Helping Hands Ministry needs drivers to take members to medical appointments. To volunteer, please call the office, 215-855-5489. Effective May 1st, the cost to sponsor a chancel flower bouquet is $40. Our florist will continue providing St. John’s with the flower designs and dependable delivery we’ve come to expect. The Hospitality Teams, who act as greeters & ushers each week, are looking for new members. Each team serves once every four weeks. Call the church office if you are interested. People can also dial 988 if they are worried about a loved one who may need crisis support.
