Adult Evening Bible Study – Fall & Spring

ADULT BIBLE STUDY

We offer a big ‘thank you” to Rev. Sue for all the years and all the varied topics of the Adult Bible Studies she has led at St. John’s over the years!  Her leadership and insights will be missed in these studies, but we also look forward to new leadership in the Bible Studies to come!

Watch for news about our 2022 Fall Bible Study later this summer.

The Lenten Bible Study for 2022 has ended, as we were invited into conversation about living out a faith that is authentic & real.  You are welcome to read on your own the book that was the subject of the study.  Wholehearted Faith by Rachel Held Evans with Jeff Chu led us into conversation about living out a faith that is authentic and real. From the book’s cover: “This is for the doubter and the dreamer, the seeker and the sojourner, those who long for a sense of spiritual wholeness, as well as those who have been hurt by the Church but can’t seem to let go of the story of Jesus.”

History: For many years, St. John’s has held an Adult Bible Study on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm in the Library during the seasons of Fall and Spring, led by our pastors.  In 2020 & 2021 we successfully held our studies online as a Zoom meeting.

We have also held an adult Bible study during the evenings of Vacation Bible School in June, also led by our pastors.  This was not held in 2020 and 2021 during the pandemic when our VBS concentrated on at-home activities for our children.
