Home Visitation

Some of our members cannot attend regular worship services due to age, infirmity, or other reasons. Our pastors will provide visitation to those in the area who cannot make it to church, providing company, prayers, conversation and communion when requested.

“No matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, our deep desire is to meet you where you are and share God’s love with you.”

If you know someone who would appreciate a visit or phone call from a pastor, please contact the church office by email office@st-johns-ucc.org or by phone at 215-855-5489, or speak with a pastor after worship.

Visitation is an important part of pastoral care. It helps keeps our home-bound members connected to the church and to God. Our late Senior Pastor Rev. Sue Bertolette often told the story of visiting elderly members who had lost much of their memory to age or disease. But when she asked them to recite the 23rd Psalm with her, they all remembered the familiar words they learned so long ago by heart – “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want…!”
