Spring has begun, and Holy Week is fast approaching! Below, please find information from the St. John’s Elders on planned services and events. Whether you’ve celebrated this special season with us for many years, or are joining us for the first time, we look forward to sharing this time with you.
Palm Sunday marks the start of Holy Week, a period of reflection and remembrance leading up to Easter. Palms will be distributed in anticipation of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem during the 10:15 service.
Don’t forget to sign up for our annual Prayer Vigil that starts Maundy Thursday, April 17 at noon and runs through noon on Good Friday April 18, 2025. A sign-up chart with half-hour prayer time slots will be posted in the Bulletin Board hallway and will include times that the St. John’s building will be open for prayer. Wishing you a blessed and reflective Holy Week! — St. John’s Elders
This day honors Jesus Christ’s Last Supper with his disciples, highlighting the significance of humility, selflessness, and service to others. A potluck dinner will be shared in the Sanctuary. Join us on Thursday, April 17 at 7:00 pm as we recreate the Last Supper of Jesus Christ in the sanctuary.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
— John 3:16-17
As the prayer vigil is continued, Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus. Special church service is focused on the crucifixion, devotion and remembering the sacrifice of Jesus. If you are unable to attend Good Friday service, consider quiet reflection of the significance of Jesus death.

This service will also include a nature-based Easter egg hunt for children. In the event of rain, the service will be held at the same time in the sanctuary.
Our 10:15 am service will be held at the church, continuing the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection, with Communion shared among attendees.
