Our Sunday Service is a blend of traditional and contemporary worship styles. We strive to make Sunday Worship a time of joy and reflection while incorporating messages that challenge and inspire.

Music is a vital component of worship at St. John’s. A typical service incorporates instrumental organ music, a choral anthem, and hymns, as well as sung prayer responses. Though more traditional overall, the musical selections vary in style and promise a fresh experience week to week. We hope you’ll visit — we think you’ll enjoy what you hear!

The scripture readings at St. John’s Sunday service are selected each week from the Revised Common Lectionary, a book containing a collection of scripture readings appointed for Christian worship on a given day or occasion.

Our pastors give sermons based on that week’s scripture selections. They incorporate their own personal styles of preaching to tie in relevant topics, world events, and any special issues the church is facing.

Hear Sermons on Spotify

During the Children’s Sermon, children of all ages are invited forward to hear a brief message from one of our ministers. Kids can then head downstairs for Connect3, our Sunday School program.
