PHOTO PORTRAITS OF ST. JOHN’S SENIOR PASTORS

St. John’s church has had seven senior pastors since our founding in 1876.  There is a photo of each hanging in our St. John’s library.  To read about them, you can go to the ‘History of our Pastors’ page of this website.  Click on the link below.

PHOTO PORTRAIT OF ETHEL SCHELLENBERGER

Ethel A. Schellenberger was an influential member of St. John’s UCC and our national denomination as a leader of programs for youth.  The portrait hanging in the library orginally hung in the library of our UCC Camp Mensch Mill in Berks County until the camp was sold in 2013, and the PSEC donated the portrait and the furniture from the camp library to St. John’s library because of Ethel’s long history as a member here.

St. John’s Church Library held an Open House following worship on Sunday, October 29, 2023, for our members to learn about the library and new things coming. There were raffles, light refreshments & goodie bags for children!  Come visit the library on Sundays!
